Tans are very active animals and it’s not such a good idea to be pets for starters although they are actually really sweet and intelligent. To occupy their attention it is recommended to give them rabbit-safe toys. They are not known to be aggressive and because they are active, they are often considered to be cuddly.

Frequent exercise is good for the Tans. However, you should not let them roam outside their area unattended. Areas where they are allowed in should be safe. For their diet, they should be given high quality pellets to keep them healthy.

Tans are judged as a running breed in the United States. This means that they are allowed to move freely on show tables as judges evaluate them.
